Fairfax, Virginia, July 9, 2024 — Fairfax Ice Arena is excited to welcome 4-Time Ukrainian National Medalist and 2021 World Championship competitor Yuliia Zhata to our coaching staff. She is an accomplished competitive solo figure skater, ice dancer, and coach. She has more than 8 years of coaching experience with her students recently winning competitions at Lake Placid 2023, May Day Open 2023, Solo Dance National, Championship 2023, and Chesapeake Open 2023.
She is available to teach skaters of all ages and levels, train competitive skaters for USFS testing and competitions, choreograph programs, and teach off-ice lessons including jumps, stretching, yoga, general physical training, dance and more.
Olympic Gold Medalist and World-Renowned Coach Ilya Kulik has joined Fairfax Ice Arena's coaching staff. He teaches young beginners, competitive skaters, recreational skaters, and adult skaters.
Planning for your fall after school activities? Are you interested in becoming a figure skater, hockey player, or just want to skate and have fun on the ice? Our Group Lesson program is a great first step to life-long enjoyment of ice sports.
Registration is now available for fall group ice skating lessons at Fairfax Ice Arena. Our fall classes will begin September 3-9. We offer group lessons for beginners to advanced levels, for kids, teens and adults. Classes are available weekday evenings on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, or Saturday morning.

The fall group lesson schedule is out now. Classes will begin September 3-9.
Fairfax Ice Arena and its Pro Shop will be closed for maintenance on Monday, August 19 through Saturday, August 24. For safety, only scheduled staff will be allowed to enter inside the facility on August 19-24.
The Pro Shop will not be taking appointments and walk-ins, and customers will not be able to pick-up and drop-off of skates during the shutdown on August 19-24, no exceptions, so please plan accordingly.
We will re-open on Sunday, August 25.
