We are Celebrating our 50th season

Fairfax Ice Arena is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Our 50th season is from August 27, 2022 - August 19, 2023, and we will be celebrating all season long.

Fairfax Ice Arena opened its doors on March 17, 1973. We are the first indoor ice skating rink facility in Virginia, in the South and in the Washington, DC area. It was founded by Eileen Weisiger, a successful business woman, serial entrepreneur, fashion designer, artist, model, and mother. Eileen Weisiger and her sons Berry, Harry and Henry Weisiger were instrumental in bringing recreational ice skating, and developing competitive figure skating and ice hockey programs and athletes in the region.
