Group Skating Lessons
Enroll today at the Fairfax Ice Arena Skating School and learn to ice skate in our group ice skating lesson program. You will learn the fundamentals of ice skating to progress into more specific skating disciplines and a wide variety of skating opportunities.
Fairfax Ice Arena offers group ice skating lessons all year for:
- Special group lesson programs for kids ages 3–5
- Children, teens and adults: ages 4 years old & up
- Beginners to advanced level skaters
- Classes are grouped by ages (4–6, 7–13; 14 and up) and by level
Figure Skating
Freestyle sessions are the designated times for high-level and competitive figure skaters to train and practice. We offer level-specific freestyle sessions Monday-Friday, and specialty sessions focusing on edge work. Visit the lesson office to see if freestyle sessions are right for your training.

Halloween On Ice
Saturday, October 31, 12-3 PM
Join us for a family-fun skate and games at Halloween On Ice public skate. There will be random raffle prize drawings at 1:45 PM. Costumed skaters receive $1 off regular admission price. Skate rental is $4 per person. Purchase your admission and skate rental ticket at the box office on the day of event.
Girl Scouts Open House
Every Saturday in November,12:00 PM – 3:45 PM
Girl Scouts are invited to skate at a reduced admission rate of $6.00 per person and skate rental of $4.00 per person. Reservation is required. One-time free 20-minute beginner group lesson is also available to Girl Scouts with reservations and Girl Scouts admission purchase. Space is limited. Call (703) 323-1132 to make your reservations.
