Celebrating 50 Years of Ice Skating
Fairfax Ice Arena opened its doors on March 17, 1973. We are the first indoor, ice skating rink facility open year-round in Virginia, in the south and in the Washington, DC area.
The ice rink was founded by Eileen Weisiger, a successful business woman, serial entrepreneur, fashion designer, artist, model, and mother. Eileen Weisiger and her family are instrumental in bringing recreational ice skating, and programs for competitive figure skating and ice hockey in the region.
